The Estate
The first sight of the Estate comes as a surprise to most visitors. Instead of an expanse of concrete and tarmac interspersed with rows of corrugated sheet buildings which typifies many industrial sites, Thorp Arch Estate greets the visitor with a vast parkland setting of open green spaces against a backdrop of mature trees.
Unlike many trading estates and business parks where the roads are cluttered with vehicles, Thorp Arch Estate has plenty of space for parking , manoeuvring and loading. Many locals take the country air on the Estate and the working day is punctuated by several joggers taking a break.
Not surprisingly there are many long established businesses on the Estate, several of which have grown through the ability to take extra accommodation or move to larger buildings as business expands.
